“The NEJE 5 is the most advanced mini laser engraver yet, building on the success of the Master 2, Master 2S, and NEJE 3. It’s stronger, smarter, and more flexible—with contactless reset, CNC-grade construction (even strong enough for the E80!), universal compatibility, and a revolutionary new software system that lets you design images, text, and cuts all at once—just like stacking blocks!”
Key Enhancements Include:
Elimination of the physical reset button – Replaced with contactless reset technology for a simpler and more reliable structure. Reinforced construction – Built with high-strength CNC-machined materials, offering superior durability to even support the heavy-duty E80 module. Universal compatibility – Supports 12-24V input and 4-pin + 2-pin laser interfaces, ensuring full compatibility with all NEJE laser modules. Expandable workspace – Simply adjust software parameters to increase engraving area. Advanced control system – Equipped with large-capacity memory and wireless Bluetooth control. Enhanced creative capabilities – Beyond supporting all apps, the new system enables multi-element, multi-layer processing, allowing users to design images, text, and cutting elements simultaneously—like building with blocks—to create complex works effortlessly.“ Key Features Highlighted: ✔ Contactless reset – More reliable than physical buttons ✔ Industrial-grade build – CNC-machined for maximum strength ✔ Full backward compatibility – Works with all NEJE lasers ✔ Flexible engraving area – Software-adjustable for different projects ✔ Smart control – Wireless Bluetooth + large memory ✔ Creative freedom – Combine images, text, and cuts in one project
Step1: Installation Instructions
• Only 2 screws are required for complete device installation.
• You will need a Phillips screwdriver.
• Installation Steps:
Insert the X-axis into the Y-axis groove.
Important Notes: • Ensure the motor remains on the same plane.
• If the motor shifts to the right, you can increase the area.
• If the motor shifts to the left, the X-axis travel distance will be less than 170mm, which may cause the movement to exceed boundaries during operation.
Step2: Power Connection
The NEJE 5 portable laser engraver, although compatible with 24V power input, is designed with a lightweight and portable form factor—typically operating at 12V. It can be powered via:
• A plug-in power adapter + outdoor power supply or car 12V power adapter (converted to DC 5.5×2.1mm);
• A power bank (supporting 10V/11V/12V) + USB-C to DC 5.5×2.1mm 12V adapter cable.
The device features a DC 5.5×2.1mm power input interface, which supports both traditional power adapters and USB-C to DC 12V adapter cables for flexible power supply options.
Ensure the laser module voltage matches the device input voltage
Step3: Focusing
Use a flathead screwdriver to rotate the lens outward to find the optimal focal point. In most cases, the focus can be adjusted to a position 3mm away from the light shield. A 3mm shim or filter can be used for quick visual alignment of the focal point.
Quick focusing up and down, Newly designed height adjuster featuring an internal spring mechanism. Pull outward to unlock and adjust the angle; release to automatically lock in place with spring tension.
Step4: Software Download
Maintenance
The design of the simple adjustable gap and tension components ensures the continuous precision and reliability of the mechanical performance.
Area Expansion
3 ways to expand the area:
a.Adjust the X-axis screw to increase the height by about 30mm
b.Purchase a modification kit to replace the Y-axis rail, or replace the X and Y-axis rails to obtain a maximum working area of X=290mm, Y=430mm
c.Prepare a standard 2040 track less than 2 meters long, make a set of wires and matching length of synchronous belt with steel wire core, and easily transform it into a super large working area equipment, with the maximum working area reaching X=290mm, Y=1820mm.
The default area of NEJE 5 is 170*170mm. After changing the hardware area by expanding the track, you need to modify the area parameters of the firmware, software, and device.
